Dahlia Classic Dinner with Sean McFadyen

Tom and Jackie started their first restaurant together, the Dahlia Lounge back in 1989, and many great cooks passed through their doors learning the ropes and participating in all the deliciousness. Hot Stove Society team member Sean Fadyen is one of those cooks who worked the line at Dahlia, and like Sean we all miss the great food and ambiance from the Dahlia, so Sean decided to revisit the Dahlia at Hot Stove and show our guests some of the great dishes and techniques that came out of the Dahlia Lounge!

Sean is going to create a popular Dahlia menu for you to enjoy and show you some of the tips and tricks that came out of the Dahlia kitchen, so you can recreate it at home. He will start you off with the classic Sea Bar and show you some small plates, sashimi, ceviche and a bite of salmon in the classic setup. Fall ingredients for a delicious soup. Then he will show you Dahlia's petite steak set using parsnips and a wild mushroom pan sauce.  The evening will be capped with the best creme caramel in the world.  Grab a date and relive a fun night at the Dahlia with the Hot Stove Team!

Guests will receive substantial tastes from the following menu items.

  • Dahlia Sea Bar with Ceviche, Sashimi and Smoked Salmon, Lemon and Breadsticks
  • Prosser Farms Winter Squash Puree with Creme Fraiche and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
  • Grilled Bavette Steak with Parsnip Pureed, and Wild Mushroom Pan Sauce
  • Dahlia's Famous Creme Caramel

Policies: 

Ticket price is per 1 person.  If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
