Fermenting Kimchi and How to Use It! With Chef Danae McLaughlin

Join us for a fun and interactive hands-on class where you'll learn the art of making authentic kimchi from scratch! This workshop will guide you through the traditional Korean fermentation process, covering everything from selecting the freshest ingredients to understanding the science behind fermentation. You will learn about the history and health benefits of kimchi, prepare and mix your own batch using napa cabbage, radish, and a variety of seasonings and take home your own jar to ferment and enjoy! 

Perfect for food lovers, fermentation enthusiasts, and anyone looking to add bold flavors to their meals. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands deliciously messy! 

Guests will be greeted with Kimchi Mandu Dumplings to enjoy while watching the demonstration and will receive substantial tastes of the following menu items.

    • With Kimchi, Chili Paste, Chili Flakes, Garlic, Onion, Soy Sauce, Tofu
  • Kimchi Fried Rice - Demo and Taste
    • With White Rice, Kimchi, Eggs, Onions, Garlic
  • Bukkumi (Sweet Rice Dumplings w/Red Bean Paste) - Taste Only
    • With Rice, Water, Sugar, Barley Malt Powder and Pine Nuts

Policies: 

Ticket price is per 1 person. If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
