French Pastry with Chef Bridget Charters

At the Hot Stove Society the crew prides themselves on knowing the classics and Chef Bridget Charters is enamored with proper French Pastry.  In this "first of a series" class, Bridget will teach you the ins and outs of working with and handling Pate Feuilletee - aka Puff Pastry.  Puff is a mysterious item that is known as a "thousand layers" and handling it correctly is key.

In this class Bridget and the Hot Stove Team will teach you the rules of puff pastry and talk about some of the great brands you can find in the store, then you will roll up your sleeves and learn to make some of the puff pastry classics.  (This is a great class for kids.)

You will Learn and Make:

  • Ham and Cheese Breakfast Pastries
  • Palmier Cookies
  • Traditional Mille Feuille - Dessert Pastry with Vanilla Pastry Cream

During the demonstration portion of the class, we will provide a delicious Creamy Mushroom Soup with Parmesan Cheese Sticks.

Policies: 

Ticket price is per 1 person.  If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
