French Pastry Series: French Tart with Chef Bridget Charters

At the Hot Stove Society the crew prides themselves on knowing the classics and Chef Bridget Charters is enamored with proper French Pastry.  In this "second of a series" class, Bridget will teach you on how to build a beautiful French tart.  

In this class Bridget and the Hot Stove Team will teach you the differences between pate sucree and pate brisee.  You will get to make pate sucree dough and work with pate brisee. You will also learn different type of fillings and how to build, bake and finish tarts.

You will Learn and Make:

  • Pate Sucree – French style shortcrust
  • Pate Brisee – flaky style tart dough
  • Dorie’s French Riviera Lemon Tart - taste only
  • The Easiest Chocolate Tart with Pate Sucree - you will make and take home
  • French Style Fruit Tart with Pate Brisee- you will make and take home

During the demonstration portion of the class, we will provide a delicious cheese quiche and salad verte.

Policies: 

Ticket price is per 1 person.  If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
