Recipe Box Workshop with Cynthia Nims
January 27 2025 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM2000 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
With the holidays just recently behind us, there’s no better time to take stock of our recipe collections and ensure we’ve collected cherished recipes that mean the most to us—those served during the holidays and year-round. Preserving cherished recipes has become a passion for local food writer Cynthia Nims, who will guide a workshop with insights about the value of these recipes and tips for how to gather and record them. She also covers the importance of delving into the story behind these recipes and how we can honor the originals while making updates for current tastes and ingredients. This is a passion shared by Tom Douglas, too, you can hear Cynthia and Tom discuss it on these two recent episodes of Hot Stove Society Radio Show where Tom stated “Don’t let the recipe box die with you”. Attendees are welcome to bring a cherished recipe or two for informal group exercises during the class.
Guests will be greeted with olive and cheese crackers and will receive substantial tastes of the following menu items.
