Savory Cabbage Rolls R-US! with Chef Tom Douglas

There wasn’t much of a tradition in my family for making a good old fashioned cabbage roll until I started making them about ten years ago. My farmer wife Jackie had tried her hand at growing Savoy cabbage and she was a little too successful. We had just visited one of our favorite Seattle restaurants of the time called Dinette on Capitol Hill. Chef Mel had on special the most delightful veal stuffed cabbage roll I had ever tasted. Boom, I was hooked on trying my own. I have made them with cheesy potato filling, Italian sausage and polenta filling, and what I consider the classic…rice and ground beef filling. Cabbage rolls can be what you choose as long as they are wrapped in an unctuous cabbage leaf.
I will demonstrate 4 types of cabbage rolls in class and we will all make a 5th with a half dozen to take home. The perfect winter night supper!

Ticket price is per 1 person. If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party.
Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable. The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
