In this fun and interactive session, you'll learn how to create these soft, chewy, and delightful rice cakes from scratch, just like they’ve been made for centuries in Japan. You’ll explore the versatile world of mochi by creating both sweet and savory varieties. Whether you’re craving a traditional dessert or a savory bite, we’ve got you covered! In this class, our expert instructor will guide you through crafting the perfect mochi dough from glutinous rice flour (shiratamako), achieving that signature chewy texture. You’ll discover the history and cultural significance of mochi, while having fun exploring different variations of this traditional treat. By the end of the class, you’ll be able to make a variety of mochi to impress your friends and family with both flavor profiles.

Guests will be greeted with Yaki Onigiri (Grilled Rice Balls) upon arrival and will receive substantial tastes of the following items to enjoy.

Policies: 

Ticket price is per 1 person.  If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
